Sisters Inside is an independent community organisation that advocates for the collective human rights of women and girls in prison and their families and provides services to address their individual needs.
The Gilimbaa team was honoured to work with the team at Sisters Inside to create a new visual identity for the organisation, with David Williams and Tia Richards (Sisters Inside President and artist) collaborating on the work.
The core of the Sisters Inside visual identity is based on the theme of Sisterhood is family. Sisterhood is strength. This idea is communicated throughout the visual identity with all of the created visual elements working together.
The logo is made up of the Spirit Woman mark and the wordmark. The Spirit Woman is the matriarch sharing the knowledge, wisdom and protection of all our women. She is the strength of our sisterhood.
