Gilimbaa was proud to work alongside artist Rachael Sarra to create a bespoke artwork for Australia’s national science agency, with CSIRO’s Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) artwork ‘Eternal Wisdom, Infinite Innovation’ the result.
The Stretch RAP embeds reconciliation initiatives into CSIRO’s core strategies, aiming for high-impact outcomes and measurable targets that empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The RAP was launched on Friday 25th October 2024, and featured an Indigenous business market, and cultural performances and workshops, demonstrating CSIRO’s commitment to fostering Indigenous entrepreneurship and cultural engagement.
Artwork story:
As the stars dance across the night sky, guiding us with knowledge and wisdom, and when the spirit travels Country whispering through the leaves, the water and the breeze, we are reminded that we are the longest continuing culture in the world.
At the heart of everything there exists a sacred meeting ground between past and the future – a place where the timeless wisdom of culture converges with the boundless potential of modern innovation.
