National Indigenous Australians Agency: Remote Jobs and Economic Development Program Campaign

The federal government’s Remote Jobs and Economic Development (RJED) program, which launched in late-2024, is a $707 million program designed to support people in remote communities to move into meaningful jobs that communities want, with fair pay and conditions.

As an agency with deep experience in developing communication strategies and materials for First Nations people, Gilimbaa was engaged to create a campaign to engage and inform target audiences about the program – what it is, how it will benefit individuals and communities, and how they can be part of it. Working with our project partner Ochre Strokes, we developed a communication strategy and campaign look and feel, followed by campaign assets including explainer videos, posters, social media content, infographics, fact sheets, conversation guides, web page content, and audio messages in English and First Nations languages.
