The National Indigenous Science Translation Centre (NISTC) is an Indigenous-led, Indigenous‑owned company that aims to create economic opportunities
for Indigenous communities through Indigenous-led education, training, governance and entrepreneurship, research and development, commercialisation support, and an Indigenous knowledge archive.
It is a Queensland based, national company, with a global impact operating across Australia with all Indigenous mobs – Saltwater, Freshwater, Mainland, and Torres Strait.
Gilimbaa was tasked by the NISTC to create a brand-new logo that would:
– Reflect the NISTC’s Indigenous leadership and entrepreneurship, and the relationship between Indigenous Scientific Traditional Knowledge and Science Research.
– Convey a sense of partnership, professionalism, and safety.
– Appeal to a large audience, Indigenous and non-Indigenous, across industries of science, education, business, and government.
