Boeing Defence Australia’s vision for reconciliation is “to create a thriving and inclusive workplace that embraces the diverse backgrounds and cultures of our employees and stakeholders. By fostering meaningful relationships with individuals, communities, and suppliers, we aim to empower and uplift Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, promoting a future of mutual respect and shared prosperity.”
With this in mind it engaged Gilimbaa to develop a brand-new bespoke artwork to embody its commitment to reconciliation in Australia, with ‘Connecting to Grow’ by David Williams the outcome.
Artwork story:
Wherever Boeing’s footprint is felt, a commitment to First Nations peoples must follow.
Wherever Boeing goes, from the seabed to space, across the land, the sea, and the sky, it can learn from the traditions, cultures, and innovation of First Nations peoples.
By listening and learning, it can create opportunities to humbly engage and build authentic relationships.
Because it’s connection that matters. Boeing’s dedication to individuals, communities, and suppliers must remain strong.
Through collaborating and building meaningful relationships we can bring people together and create safe spaces.
Through greater employment and investment in First Nations people and communities we can make opportunities to deliver generational wealth.
And wherever we go, coming together to make a commitment to reconciliation can only mean we grow.
