Moving into our tenth year and with an expanding client base, Gilimbaa is looking for a skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to join the team, make their mark and be part of our next chapter.


The Role

As a Project Coordinator at Gilimbaa you will assist the Project Management team with the day-to-day coordination and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects for our valued clients.

The key areas of responsibility for the Project Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

  • completing administrative project management tasks;
  • coordinating the process and delivery of external goods and services with trusted suppliers and partners; and
  • undertaking day-to-day project tasks including writing creative briefs, updating project plans, creating quotes and cost estimations, as well as organising and attending stakeholder meetings.

Indigenous project coordination or management experience is highly advantageous.

At Gilimbaa, Project Coordinators may take on the management of low-complexity, delivery-focused projects and may demonstrate developing experience in client relationship development and the execution of complex project management and delivery.


Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Attributes

You will have:

  • a strong administrative background with proven organisational and time management skills;
  • experience in a similar role, coordinating multi-disciplinary resources and projects;
  • a proactive and team focused nature;
  • a preparedness to work extra hours to meet deadlines if required;
  • excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • a strong ability to prioritise, work under pressure and manage deadlines;
  • a current Australian Driver Licence (manual preferred);
  • complete or incomplete studies or proof of experience in project management;
  • an understanding and demonstration of production processes, project management processes and theories; and
  • an understanding or proof of experience in relevant or similar programs such as MSWord, WorkFlowMax, Xero, Float, and GoogleSuite.

Gilimbaa will support you with increasing your knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander governance and with becoming an advocate and active demonstrator of Gilimbaa processes and values.
