The Australian Government approached Gilimbaa to develop a communication strategy and campaign collateral for the Mornington Island and Doomadgee communities in Queensland.

The campaign objective was to inform these 2 remote communities about the new Close the Gap legislation. A key message to be conveyed in the campaign was that the legislation aimed to get community buy-in and ownership. The campaign strategy used imagery and language that would clearly explain the project objectives and the community’s role in this complicated process.
