Reconciliation in QLD
30.05.08
Team members of Gilimbaa attended the Reconciliation Conference at the Brisbane Convention and Entertainment Centre.
"This was a great opportunity to see examples of Indigenous and non-Indigenous individuals and businesses talk about the social and economic benefits of reconciliation," Creative Director David Williams said. "In addition it was also great to promote our name and our services, as well as get to know the wider Aboriginal community in Brisbane and other murris in business."
Following the conference was the Reconciliation Awards for Business 2008 Ceremony hosted by the Honourable Anna Bligh at Parliament House.
Awards were given to large corporations, small business, community groups and various other organisations that have excelled in their practices of reconciliation.
